State & Local Government
In the state and local government sector, John progressed from Architect and Lead Developer to Director of Software Development, and ultimately Director of Custom Business Solutions. He designed and built market-leading election and voter registration systems deployed across multiple states, including the GeauxVote iOS and Android application — winner of the 2013 NASS Ideas in Innovation Award. He also architected the first real-time election night reporting portal capable of delivering instantaneous results under the intense load of federal election cycles. He became a recognized Subject Matter Expert in Corporation (Business Entity) and UCC/Lien management software for over a dozen statewide systems, growing the division by 200%+ and securing five major contracts through competitive RFP processes.
Healthcare — Care Management & Utilization Management
In care management and utilization management, John rebuilt and led a 40-person software development department that supported a 300%+ increase in commercial revenue. He spearheaded an 18-month legacy modernization effort — migrating a large-scale ASP.Net application to a modern React architecture, on schedule and under budget — while also serving as Product Manager for the Business Intelligence team. He later served as Vice President of Product Development, leading enterprise care management and prior authorization product consolidation efforts spanning multiple acquisitions.
Legal Technology
For the legal industry, John has built an AI-enabled case management system purpose-built for case mediation, producing excellent results for the legal teams that rely on it. The platform streamlines mediation workflows end-to-end and lets attorneys focus on the judgment-driven parts of the case.
